Pastor Tony Clemons was born and raised in Mississippi.  He felt the call of ministry on his life as a teenager and pursed his Pastoral studies at Trevecca Nazarene University.  Pastor Tony began his Pastoral work in Mississippi in 1991 until he moved to the South Arkansas District in 1997.

Our Church was happy to welcome Pastor Tony and his family to Smyrna in 2000, where we hope his ministry and work will prosper for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Pastor Tony's wife, Kim, grew up on the North Florida district.  They met while attending Trevecca and were married in 1989.  We have two sons, Alex (15) and Evan (11).  Kim leads worship at the Church and the two sons are active in the teen and children departments.

Smyrna Church of the Nazarene was started in the 1950's by Mr. Ralph Cain in Woodfin Mortuary.  Sometimes, parishners would have to hold service at the school if the funeral home was being used.

God blessed us and allowed us to build at our current location in 1963.  Over the years, God has helped to add additional teaching space.

The Church was started with many of the students from Trevecca and the Airmen base at Sewart Air Force Base along with the residents of Smyrna and Lavergne.  Over the years, many people have passed through out doors.

We are blessed to be where we are now and look forward to the growth that the Lord will bless us with.
